It is facinating to me that the Swiss have a similar health care model to Canada and they include homeopathy and other alternative medicines in their public health care spending dollars. In Canada our health care budget is bursting at the seams because our government is using the most expensive form of medicine that focuses on expensive drugs that have many side effects and surgerical procedures. I would love our government to embrace natural medicine and save people's health and our tax payers pocketbooks. Here is an interesting link that many people are turning to homeopathy for just this reason. Read on

Honestly, after reading this title, it got my hackles up. I hear so many untruths, blanket statements by doctors or trolls on the internet, saying homeopathy doesn't work, homeopathic medicines don't have drug identification numbers, homeopaths are not regulated, and homeopathy is a placebo.

First of all homeopathy does work. I can tell you of many patients who were helped tremendously by it. There are many many studies one can find that homeopathy does in fact work much better than just a placebo. Homeopathic medicines do have drug identification numbers, they are called HIN, homeopathic identification numbers now. Homeopaths in Ontario are regulated by the government. Frankly, I do have a degree in science from University of Toronto but I don't care about scientific research. I care about people and their results. Here is a good little article written by an Indian lady about these issues. Read on

Interestingly, homeopathic remedies have been found to be beneficial for the treatment of sepsis. In practice I don't see any cases of sepsis, because they are usually in the hospital and at this time homeopaths are not in a hospital setting. However, a study done in another country, found homeopathy to be useful in these cases by Frass M, Linkesch M, Banyai S, Resch G, Dielacher C, Lobl T, Endler C, Haidvogl M, Muchitsch I, Schuster E (2005). Adjunctive homeopathic treatment in patients with severe sepsis: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in an intensive care unit. Homeopathy; 94:75–80.

I have had many cases of people suffering with psoriasis over the years. I have used many homeopathic remedies that were suited to people's symptoms ranging from arsenicum album to tellurium met. Each person that comes in is different and presribed remedies suited to their symptom picture.

An interesting study, finds that a mother tincture called mahonia, may be a good tincture to employ.  Bernstein S, Donsky H, Gulliver W, Hamilton D, Nobel S, Norman R (2006). Treatment of mild to moderate psoriasis with Reliéva, a Mahonia aquifolium extract - a double-blind, placebo-controlled study. American Journal of Therapeutics; 13:121-126.

In practice however, I find many remedies are useful for the condition, not just one. If you need more support, contact us for a free get acquainted chat.

Many women needlessly suffer with PMS. The current medical treatment is antidepressants, which leads to a whole list of side effects including weight gain. The 500-patient survey at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital showed that many patients were able to reduce or stop conventional medication following homeopathic treatment.9 The size of the effect varied between diagnoses: for skin complaints, for example, 72% of patients reported being able to stop or reduce their conventional medication; for cancer patients there was no reduction.

An observational study at Bristol Homeopathic Hospital included over 6,500 consecutive patients with over 23,000 attendances in a 6-year period.6 Seventy percent of follow-up patients reported improved health, 50% referring to major improvement. The best treatment responses were reported in childhood eczema and asthma, and in inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, menopausal problems and migraine in adults. Similar patient-reported outcomes have been reported from the UK’s other four NHS homeopathic hospitals.7-10Bristol Homeopathic Hospital

Researchers have found that people with lupus tend to have better outcomes when they eat a nutritious diet. Those foods that were high in health benefits were healthy fats, olive oil, whole grains (brown rice, quinoa, millet, oats), fatty fish (salmon, trout, sardines), plenty of coloured fresh fruits and vegetables.
